I was born and raised in the United States and enjoyed living in two of its most beautiful areas: New England and the Pacific Northwest, but I have been living in hyggelige Denmark since 2003.
I have an Associate of Science (Endicott College, MA.) and a Bachelor of Arts degree (Castleton Univ. VT.) with an emphasis on education and creative writing. I received my MA and Ph.D. at Aalborg University, Denmark with a focus on intercultural communication, learning, and museums’ representation of Indigenous and marginalized peoples.
I have published numerous journal articles and presented my research at various international conferences.
While my academic background is in the humanities, I have worked closely with students and colleagues in various engineering, environmental, and media technology fields. I taught Technical English Composition for 13 years at Aalborg University. I have also conducted a ‘refresher’ technical English course for lab technicians at a large Danish corporation.
Additionally, I have supervised numerous student BS and MS projects and proofread their various project reports and thesis.
I started ReConsider in late 2020.
Other interests: preservation of rock art, photography, architectural and graphic design, music, cycling, hiking and reading.
